Srinagar, August 03 (KNO) : Awami National Conference (ANC) senior vice president Muzaffar Ahmad Shah Saturday said that the panic among people of the state is generated by the government orders that are being issued on daily basis. Addressing a presser, Shah as per KNO correspondent said that it is evident from the nature of developments and the steps being taken by the people at the helm of affairs that those in the power corridors at Center are hell bent to go against the constitution itself. “The special provisions of Article 370 and 35A are enshrined and given by the constitution of India and there is no need to beg about them before any Governor. It’s ironic that while Prime Minister of India and the state government have been parroting that the situation in valley is getting better, there has been increase in the number of forces by inducting new personnel and deliberate attempts are being made to tarnish the age old brotherhood of Kashmiris by saying that there might be an attack on yatries,” Shah said. Shah cautioned the being over awed by power, military might has always had dangerous consequences as history is riddled by such examples and they are enough to overlap any ones mental capabilities. “If today there is a conspiracy to destabilize the state of J&K, it will not be a new thing. People can be suppressed by the oppressive and suppressive measures but they only are equal to trample upon the very essence of democracy, secularism and humanity,” Shah said. He said that on one hand Governor of the state is saying that no such move will be taken that will worsen the situation and peace of the state but on the other hand, on daily basis, orders of some other nature are being issues which only refute the claims of the Governor. Governor, he said, should ponder that the position he holds is not of being a ‘puppet in nature’. “Kashmiris have been facing the massive onslaughts of suppression since 1931 and if today any such decision to rain the people of Kashmir with fear is taken, People of Kashmir will resist it like they resisted Sikh, Dogra, Mughal, and Afghan rules,” Shah said.(KNO)
